Preparation of the dossier, reference standards and samples takes from 1 to 12 months. This is followed by up to 14 days for submission and from 10 to 12 months for examination and registration.
The documents, reference standards and samples are submitted to the State Service for Supervision of Healthcare and Social Protection of the Population. The marketing authorization is issued by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The registration dossier materials are translated into Russian or Tajik. Inaccurate translation is noted as a common risk, so the translation is verified against the manufacturer's source documents before submission.
The examination includes verification of dossier completeness, laboratory testing of samples and assessment of the documents in terms of quality, efficacy and safety. The examination is suspended while responses to deficiency letters are being prepared.
The required quantity of samples and reference standards is calculated already at the dossier preparation stage, and their delivery and customs clearance are monitored before the documents are submitted.
