Up to 14 days are allowed for submission and 120 calendar days for examination and registration, excluding clock-stops. Including the time for addressing deficiency letters, the timeline is up to 300 calendar days.
The examination is carried out by the Analytical Expertise Center of the Ministry of Health. It takes place in two stages: a preliminary examination (verification of the completeness of the dossier) and a specialized examination, which includes laboratory testing of samples.
After a positive conclusion of the Analytical Expertise Center, the Ministry of Health issues a marketing authorization valid for 5 years. The instructions for use in Azerbaijani are approved together with it.
The instructions for medical use are translated into Azerbaijani with notarization. The Analytical Expertise Center checks the translation before approval, so the translation is verified against the source documents before submission.
Only 10 working days are allowed to remedy deficiencies identified by the Ministry of Health. Therefore, the completeness and correctness of the documents are checked before submission.
